My twin sister is a graduate of
Master of Management Technology in De la Salle. Ever since she graduated, she
always pushing me to get also a master degree. She said that it will help me in
my professional career and also it will gain me new friends. But as much as I
want to pursue one, I don’t want to sacrifice my work obligations and my time
with my son.
I have Monday to Friday with
alternate Saturdays work in a construction company. Weekends is for my son –
family time. Every night is skype time with my husband who’s working abroad. So
tell me, where to squeeze the masteral?
I’m so grateful I didn’t stop
browsing online possible school or short courses I can take. I happened to open
Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) Open University website. From
there, I learned that they offer educational services with alternative approach
to cater the needs of working individuals like me who needs to juggle work and
study at the same time. I am surprised that this Open University existed long
time ago since 1990.
Here’s the link of PUP Open
University for more details - https://www.pup.edu.ph/ous/
And there I found Master of
Science in Construction Management. A tailor-made course just right for me! I
immediately inquire thru email confirming the class schedule which is very
important for me. It took 10 days before I got a positive
response from them. Not bad at all. I thought they will not reply on my email. They confirmed that there will be only once a month class meeting
and the rest will be online sessions.
So I decided to take a chance to
take their entrance exam last May 26 and luckily the result says I am qualified
for the graduate course. Now, I am completing the requirements needed for enrollment. =)
